I found algae in my spa tub. What should I do?

The filter pump and cartridge are designed to filter suspended particles from water, but they will not prevent algae from growing in the spa water. You will have to sanitize the spa water before further use. See the manual for basic water sanitation guidelines and use included chemical floater dispenser to administer chlorine into the spa water. Always follow the chemical manufacturer’s directions. Never let chlorine come in contact with the spa tub if it is not completely dissolved. Likewise with liquid chlorine; mix it immediately and thoroughly with the spa water. Press the bubble button on the spa control panel to turn on the bubble air blower and help dissolve the chemicals into the water. Never mix chemicals together. Add the chemicals to the spa water separately .Thoroughly dissolve each chemical before adding another one to the water. ALWAYS ADD CHEMICALS TO WATER, NEVER WATER TO CHEMICALS! Remove the chemical floater dispenser before spa use once clean and properly balanced water is established. Contact your local pool/spa professional for chemicals, sanitizers, test kits and water testing procedures that are PVC safe.
